The Lifeblood Alliance

The rivers, wetlands, floodplains, ecosystems and communities of the Murray-Darling have been suffering due to a lack of natural flows of water in the system.

Too much water is extracted for irrigation, mining and other purposes.

We must revive our rivers and wetlands.

We should buy back water for nature from willing sellers.

We should strive to restore natural flows.

We should invest in regional communities to diversify their economies.

The Lifeblood Alliance speaks up for the rivers of the Murray-Darling Basin, and advocates for policies and actions to revive the rivers, wetlands, ecosystems and communities along the many creeks, rivers and lakes.
